Coating Tech Slot Dies is known for the technical content we develop and share in the form of technical articles, videos, and more. Coating defects and troubleshooting articles are the most popular content on our website and they are the highlight of Coating Tech Institute each year. It can be challenging for those new to coating technology to recognize defects without much exposure to their appearance or behavior. We want to build on our library of defect images and videos, and we need your help.
A few basic ground rules:
1) You MUST have proper permission to share images or video from your employer or your company. Coating Tech Slot Dies will need to have a photo release form on file for any images you provide to ensure that proper permission has been granted. Typically, this is easy to arrange, but be sure to check your NDA or confidentiality policies before sending.
2) If you send along an image or video that we use in a teaching tool, we will reward you with a CTSD branded gift. Of course, we may not use all images or videos submitted due to differences in production quality, but we will keep your info on file and send you a gift if/when we are able to use your image in the future.
3) The defects we are seeking images or video of include:
-> Chatter
-> Streaks
-> Particles
-> Air bubble defects (air entrapment or entrainment)
-> Chevron
-> De-wetting
-> Ribbing
